Resident Evaluation Process: How We Assess Your Readiness for Remember Wellness

At Remember Wellness, we prioritize the well-being and success of our residents by ensuring each individual is ready and committed to join our Level II recovery home. This home offers a structured yet independent environment suitable for personal growth and recovery.

Understanding a Level II Recovery Home:

  • Monitoring: Residents are monitored by a house manager but not supervised continuously, promoting independence within a structured framework.
  • Community Contribution: You will participate actively in your recovery journey, adhering to house rules and contributing to a supportive community environment.

Understanding Remember Wellness:

  • Gender Inclusivity: We are a gender inclusive organization and we proudly accept trans women into our home. Our gender-inclusive approach aims to create a community where all residents feel respected, valued, and empowered on their journey to recovery.

  • Commitment to Safety and Respect: Our space is free from racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and any form of hate speech. We believe everyone deserves a place where they can feel safe and respected.
  • Leadership Structure: The operators of Remember Wellness women’s home in Columbus are two men, and the house manager is a woman, ensuring diverse leadership and comprehensive care.

Application Process:

  • Initial Assessment: You begin by filling out a brief initial assessment form that helps us understand your current situation and needs.
  • Follow-Up Call: We then contact you to discuss your progress in treatment and your goals, providing a personalized approach to your recovery process.
  • Full Application: After the initial call, you can complete the full application form online or in person during a tour of the home. This step allows us to gather comprehensive information to ensure a good fit within our community.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Information Collection: We start with collecting your basic information to maintain accurate records and facilitate effective communication.
  • Engagement in Recovery Planning: We assess your willingness to engage in recovery planning activities such as goal-setting and attending recovery-oriented meetings.
  • Support for Fellow Residents: Your readiness to support and encourage fellow residents is crucial as it fosters a supportive community atmosphere.
  • Commitment to a Sober Environment: It’s essential that you adhere to house rules and abstain from substance use, actively contributing to a sober atmosphere.

Special Considerations:

  • Substance Use Disorder: Our program is tailored for individuals with substance use disorders, including those with co-occurring disorders if a substance use disorder is present.
  • Sustained Recovery:
    • 28+ Days: Typically considered for move-in.
    • Less than 7 Days: Not eligible.
    • 7-28 Days: May be considered with a comprehensive support plan.

By carefully assessing each resident’s readiness and commitment, we aim to create a supportive and sober living environment where individuals can thrive. Welcome to Remember Wellness! We look forward to supporting you on your path to lasting recovery.
